Id love to see us keep Gentry, im not sure if he left with Dantoni or not.

Anyway, haven't read anything about the staff he's bringing in. Any word?

From what I've read, he's available to keep.

I'd like to see Silas and a more recent former Sun on the staff such as EJ, Majerle, or Hornacek.

As of right now I know that both Phil Weber and Alvin Gentry are still under contract with the Suns. It's up to Terry Porter if he wants to keep those two.

I'd love to see Porter bring Silas in to work with Amare. At the very least Amare might learn a thing or two about rebounding.

I've read that Weber and Dan D'Antoni are in fact going to New York. The rest isn't figured out yet.

Does he know anyone left from the Spurs? Id love some of their staff here so they can reveal to us some juicy secrets. :p

I want them to keep Gentry because he's been around the league for like 20 years, has been a head coach of numerous teams, and knows how we run the offense. He'll help out in keeping the familiarity of our O.

Weber, he can beat it. Wont mind losing him too much.

I hadn't seen that.

Weber has been with the Suns for quite a hile (long before D'Antoni"). I'd be surprised if the Suns would let him out of his contract since his role as a skills guy is so important.

My understanding was that Genery was D'Antoni's choice, so I'd think he may be more interested in making the move. Admittedly, all of this is pure speculation.

Weren't Weber and Dan Dantoni primarily the shooting coaches?

We could find some good ones in either EJ or Majerle.. They're familiar with the team, no doubt in my mind they could work with DJ and Tucker to make them better shooters.

I would love the idea of Paul Silas here so he could finally get Amare out of the stupid idea that he's a big man who makes outside shots. He needs to learn to get down and dirty in the paint. Hell, id love Pat Ewing in here for that, look at the great job he did with Yao. But thats unlikely.

Thanks for posting that Irish.

I really hope we get Silas.

That'd make me feel a hell of a lot better about the Porter signing than i did about the Dantoni signing when it happened.

Porter
Gentry
Silas
Majerle
EJ

Jerome Kersey was a great rebounder and hard worker. Should be a good pick too.
