With Warner, the offense could drop 40 on a team without really even trying, even without Boldin.

Kurt Warner covered up a lot of flaws on the defense.

I dont' know why everyone makes a big deal about our offense this year. We just have a bad defense, period. That's mostly the reason Kurt Warner left, and Boldin left.

Both were quoted as saying the defense had something to do with their leaving/retirement.

Really? That doesn't make sense, if they did say that.

It makes perfect sense. They all know to win :championships: you need at least a halfway decent defense - othewise the Cardinals would have a trophy on display at their facility.

Boldin was quoted as saying he wanted to play for a team with a good defense.

Kurt was quoted as saying he felt "too much pressure to make all the plays on offense."

I can understand that. Just look at the scores from last season. The Cards had big leads, by NFL standards, several times and then had to hold on or score another 14 points to win.

Blowing that 31-10 lead vs Green Bay was probably the last straw.
