it's also an annual ritual for people to way overrate PS/reserve talent on the Cards. Some guys had us starting the likes of Shane Boyd and Preston Parsons at QB. How were we ever going to replace the Milford Brown? We should give Earnest Shazor a look.

Exactly.

Maybe Willie Anderson is all washed up (or whoever, that's not the point) but it's about as logical to take a crack at a guy who has performed before as it is to overvalue guys who are clearly just cannon fodder.

In regard to Anderson, a number of Vikings fans are salivating, with McKinnie starting a 4 game suspension and a rough 4 games to start the season, he'll be an in-demand player and I just don't think the Cards would be interested in starting a bidding war for depth.

Concerning Anderson -

The Cardinals are very late with PS squad or anyother post-cut waiver/pickup info.

D'ja think?

Note - My perception of Anderson is that (in addition to his reputation as being a good all around tackle) he's a dominating smashmouth brawler in the run game - perfect fit for the Wiz and Grimm power running game. Is this perception correct? If so, I could see us aggressively going after him because it would instantly make our run game more effective and more consistent.

But here's a question to ponder. If we sign Anderson, how would we shake up our O-line (and would this be a good thing?) I'm guessing - Anderson replaces Levi Brown at starting RT. Levi Brown becomes a swing LT/RT rotational backup who's prime mission would be to push Gandy). Everyone else stays put.
