How is Emmitt and Shipp NOT better than Jones and Shipp?

Here's how:

From the the Jones/Shipp combination the best back was going to get the lion's share of PT; in the Smith/Shipp combo, Smith gets the majority of carries no matter what.

That sounds like I don't want smith here...I do; but I think that his presence on the Cards will help the team in the years to come because of the leadership and examples he'll set for the young guys. I don't think he'll be an enourmous help on the field this year (although he'll run well behind a healthy line, so would Shipp).

Also, I didn't read the thread. Sorry if this has been covered.

I was fully against Emmitt coming here at first.
I wanted no part of it at all.

But, if he doesn't do more for this team on and off the field than Jones did, I'll streak the last home game.
