Halloween 2 - the original, not Zombie's.

Oceans 12 - the Oceans 11 remake was good, but it was still basically the same story. I really liked the ending in 12 when they all got arrested, but didn't really get arrested.

Aliens - Probably debatable similar to T1 & T2

Desperado - imo, better than El Mariachi

Winter Soldier

Road Warrior (Mad Max 2) - really any doubt?

I think it's hard comparing T1 and T2. They are such completely different movies. Terminator is more of a sci-fi monster movie, almost horror in a sense, while T2 is pretty much the greatest action spectacular ever made.

They're both incredible but so different... while at the same time, both have really deep themes/issues at play. Hard for me to put one over the other.

Yeah

Love the T1 story but it looks so dated. T2 came out in 91 but still looks great even compared to current films.

T2 is my favorite sequel of all time, Aliens is right behind of that. IMO both of them blew the original out of the water.

Evil dead 2 blew part one away as well but T2 is one of my all time favorite movies so it goes much higher on the list.

In fact you could make same T1/2 argument with Alien where the first is definitely a horror movie versus the second which still has a lot of horror elements but really pumps up the action to have it fall in that genre.

Granted that I ENJOY watching both Aliens and T2 more than the first of those series, but the difference is negligible when it comes to quality.

James Cameron broke new ground in moviemaking with both T1 and T2. Then he went on to make the two biggest movies of all time successively after that. A pretty good run.
