Son of Pro Football Hall of Famer commits to Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs have been recruiting in the 2026 class, but they just recently added a commitment from defensive tackle recruit London Seymour, son of Georgia great Richard Seymour. Seymour, who is a member of the 2025 cycle, has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, according to 247Sports.

Seymour is a three-star defensive tackle that plays high school football for North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Georgia. The 6'4", 305-pounder also had scholarship offer from Georgia Southern, Marshall, and Boston College, who he even named as the leader on Feb. 6, 2025. Seymour was named as a first-team All-Region player for North Gwinnett.

London Seymour is joins Georgia's 2025 recruiting class which ranks No. 2 in the nation and has 24 early enrollees that are practicing right now.

Seymour's father, Richard, was also a Georgia defensive tackle. Through his college career (1997-2000), Richard Seymour racked up 223 tackles, 10 sacks, and 26 tackles for loss. He was selected in the first round of the 2001 NFL draft by the New England Patriots.

Through a 12-year career with the Patriots and Oakland Raiders, Richard Seymour earned seven Pro Bowls, five All-Pro selections, and three Super Bowls with the Patriots. He was selected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2022, and he could be selected in the College Football Hall of Fame in the near future.
