This was inspired under the "Power Ballads" thread.... What song if played at a party would promptly force you to leave immediately or would cause the party to end?

I definitely agree with "We Built This City"!

I would have to add:

1) "Can't Fight This Feeling" - Reo Speedwagon
2) "Sailing" - Christopher Cross
3) Anything by Air Supply
4) Anything by Nick Gilder
5) Anything by Dan Fogelberg

Those are the only ones that I can think of at the moment... how about everyone else?

Wham - "Wake me up before you go-go"

Rick Astley - "Never gonna give you up" (I HATE that song)

Spandau Ballet - "True" (arrrrgggghhh!!!!)

Vanilla Ice - "Ice Ice Baby"

Anything by Shania Twain

Anything by Hanson (but let's keep that on the down low)

3 Doors Down?!

When I'm Gone, Here Without You, and especially Be Like That.

I'm feeling you on Creed though.

Anything by Shania Twain, Brittany Spears, John Mayer and the Spice Girls. And I hate Pink Floyd, which has proved problematic on more than one occasion.

You just don't like them because you can't figure out which one's Pink.

:stupid:

Add Korn, Limp Bizkit to that list and I'm with you 100%. I'd honestly rather listen to Hanson.

Yeah.. I would have to agree on that... I just dont know why John saw much talent in her musically.. He often believed that she inspired the likes of the B52's (well.. mainly "Rock Lobster").....

Just unfortunate that Yoko's songs accounted for half of John's last studio album "Double Fantasy" because he excluded some marevelous pieces in favor of her drivel.....Just can't figure that out for the life of me......

Another song that would end a party would be Rockwell's "Somebody's Watching Me"..

No one song would instantly make me leave a party. If rap is all that is played than I leave. I hate 90% of todays rap. I also hate Queen, B52s, and the Presidents OTUSOA.

I must now have to :banned: you for hating Queen! :D

Nah seriously... of course obviously everyone is entitle to their own opinion and you and I actually share practically the same exact taste in music otherwise, so I'll have to let that slide.... ;)

Just curious though... what do you hate about Queen or is it nothing in particular?

I guess if Ricky Martin was played at a party..I would have to leave immediately and make sure I never return back....

Honestly, I don't know why I hate them. I have to skip the Wayne's World scene cause I hate Rhapsody so much.

I can't stand Queen either. Mercury's voice just kills me.

I would have to agree with that and the rest of her album...It's about time that No Doubt reform.....

I would have to add "She Bop" by Cindi Lauper to the list.....
