Watched the Sonics drub the Blazers Friday night... Wallace and Randolf both had good games, too. Three games with two of them against the Clippers isn't a lot to go on but they looked like playoff contenders against Portland. Missing Ray Allen, no less.

'Flip' is Ron Murrary, a bit player in the Payton-Allen trade last year. He's very quick and played with poise and confidence standing in for Ray at PG. Driving, dishing, nailing threes. So far his assist to TO ratio is 4.5+.

I don't know if this is exactly news but the Kandi man was a 'no-show' for the Wolves against Miami. Zero everything in 11 minutes except for 2 TO and 2 PF. The write up didn't mention him being injured or tossed.

The Phoenix Suns really have their work cut out for them this season. Obviously the Lakers, San Antonio, Sacramento, and Dallas will all make the playoffs. Minnesota is pretty much a shoo-in as well. Utah has played well, but they won't realistically be a playoff contender. That means there should be 3 spots for Seattle, Houston, Portland, and the Suns.

Who knows?

It's possible that if they can stay healthy Golden State will contend for one of those spots.
