LeBron James saved the Los Angeles Lakers from the verge of defeat against the Indiana Pacers, and fans are simply in shock by his clutch performance on Wednesday.
After Tyrese Haliburton gave the Pacers the lead with an and-1 shot with 42.2 seconds left in the game, it looked like the Purple and Gold were set to suffer their fourth straight defeat.
A Dorian Finney-Smith layup attempt to retake the lead missed, and the Pacers had the ball with a little over 30 seconds remaining on the clock. Fortunately, Bennedict Mathurin's missed triple with 11 seconds left provided the Lakers another opportunity to score.
Luka Doncic tried to win it for L.A. with a drive to the basket as the clock wound down, but he missed his floater. Fortunately, before time expired, James was able to tip the ball to the basket for the 120-119 victory.
The Lakers posted a video of the play, which included a slow-motion part to highlight how clutch James' tip-in was.
Sure enough, fans couldn't help but express their disbelief over what just transpired.
"Crazy ending to the game!" a commenter wrote. Another fan said, "Ohhh my, u really tipped it in my glorious king!"
A stunned fan added, "omg how does he do this at this age, I swear he gets better and better. He's the oldest player there, he had floor awareness and waited for that in case a miss happened."
"Going to blast LeBron music tonight," a hyped supporter further stated.
"IM TALKING BOUT THE MAN ON THE LAKERS," a follower shared, in reference to the viral song about James.
A sixth poster exclaimed, "The one and only Glorious GOAT for the win."
