In the latest Wizard (#197) Denny O'Neil and Judd Winick are debating Winick's "bringing back Jason Todd." O'Neil says - with a little over 10,000 calls received - "The 'Robin dies' vote won by something like 56 votes."

... and there was uproar by people that hadn't really been following the storyline, thinking the character that died was the original Robin (the original Robin had become Nightwing quite a while prior). They had a special on comic books on the History channel and that was one of the things brought up.

Oh I was about to start a thread on that. The story (2 issues in) has been very cool. The art is Joe Madureira as good as he's ever been (I'm a huge fan). If it's collected in hardcover I'd be all over it. And I'm cheap!
Cool. I'm looking forward to it. I like having individual issues rather than TPBs, but I do like some of those nice hardcovers.

And the TiVo search begins...

This is the most ridiculous story line... I hate it. Marvel is doing a pretty good job in destroying the character.

OT: Ultimate v3 wrapped up recently.

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I'm going to set it aside and come back to it later.

OT2: Ultimate Spider-Man continues to be a favorite. The latest TPB (although I forget the number) is just as good as the rest. Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men, whose "Unstoppable" arch just wrapped up in TBP was very good. It even featured a surprise ending, although being a X-book probably won't stick.
Usually those aint my favorite reads, but he really did himself well there, I think.

How many issues was it? If it's over, it was much shorter than v1 and v2, right?

I've been buying them, but not reading them. I hate that they're always so late.

5 issues total.

It probably should have been 6, the ending had a breakneck quality and too much nutshelling.

The art is fantastic and Loeb had a bunch of great ideas, just rushed.
