Yeah, I have to admit it. I got used to the sweet taste of winning. Especially after so many painful, disappointing years. So, the problem now is my view of this year (maybe yours, too) gets a little jaded. It's a new year. We are entitled to nothing! The past two years are a pleasant memory. But, with the uncertainty of what we 've seen so far (and yes, I know it's only pre-season) there's alot of worry, tongue-lashing, teeth-gnashing, etc. Understandable! We don't want what we've come to enjoy so much to be lost. Even for one season.

This may very well be a rebuilding year. I'm beginning to accept that. We've lost "leaders" in Kurt, Q, Karlos, and Antrelle. Not only will we miss their contributions on the field but off it as well. (ie; locker-room) New leaders must arise! It's the natural result of change. I feel confident that our coaching staff knows this, and is in the process of sorting out who can and who can't do it. ...And it takes time.

So, here's to a great Cardinal season! One that is filled with surprises as we watch it unfold. The road may get a lil' bumpy, but the course is set. The goal is certain. I believe in my life-time (53 now) I will see the Cards crowned a champion. If not this year, sometime very soon. So, have a lil' Faith, my friends. Much easier on your heart. :) GO CARDS! :D

I'm with you 100%. Two weeks into the pre-season is not the time to raise the white flag. (Which, if memory serves me correct, a lot of people were doing at this point last year.)

I'm confident the team will jell. New leaders will emerge. We will have Pro-Bowl quality players. It's difficult to accept change, but we must change to grow.

Go Cards!!

Good news is that this success came with Bidwills son and he is still young and excited about running the team.

Agree 100%...the good news is, football is back! There have been many positive changes over the last couple years, but it's important to realize we aren't going to be on top every year. I feel in many ways the franchise has turned a corner...we should all take heart in that.

Retool, yes. Rebuild, no.

With higher performance/success, comes higher expectations. I expect a third NFC West champion. If they don't succeed, I'll be disappointed. If they don't compete I'll be pissed off.
