I am so tired of players say that! I've heard several players say that... 10 million is more than most people make in a lifetime, let alone a year.... I really think players get paid too much, they have no perspective of reality or what most people have to live on...

First of all, I think most American make less than $2 mil over their lifetime. I think he needs the $10 mil to pay for all the counseling his kids will need over their lifetime.

Hey, I get an avatar without asking for one. Thanks.

One problem is that NM are my initials. I have not, nor do I ever plan to live in New Mexico. I am from Tempe, but am now in school in CA.

The German Shepherd is okay, although mine has more black than that dog.

Umm what he is saying is that he can secure the future of his kids, their kids, their kids' kids....

I don't see why he shouldn't look for the financially best deal for himself.

Umm, that's not what he was saying, and it's not what he meant. And frankly even if it was what he meant it isn't his responsibility or the responsibility of the Minnesota Timberwolves to make sure that his entire posterity are multimillionaires. That's a joke, and it pisses off the hard-working people that are trying to scrap together enough money to go to a Timberwolves game. His pay for just this season ought to be enough to feed his kids and their kids and their kids. That is if he didn't go blowing it all on mansions and Rolls-Royce's.

Latrell Sprewell is delusional. I really hope that they let him become a free agent, so he can see for himself that no team out there is going to give him anywhere near what he is asking.

Well, if spree doesn't get the money it'll just go into the owners pockets. "I need to feed my kids" may not be the best thing to say in this situation but if he feels he can get paid more he might as well go for it. Most of these teams arent looking out for the players.
