'Glad to see Jake Lamb looking comfortable playing 1B. He just made a good pick on a throw by Escobar on a good play from 3B.
As a lefty who enjoyed playing 1B when I was younger, I've seen Managers who seem to think that anyone can stand at 1B.
A 1B can receive throws from any of five players on ground balls or bunts and can be a difference maker, especially on throws in the dirt.
I have felt that Lamb's weak fielding at 3B, and its stress, has been partially responsible for his decline at bat for the second half of his seasons.
