Most of the posters over on Spurstalk are just a bunch of children who believe every single player on the Spurs is the best in the league and that team is the absolute end all be all. They even began comparing some of their championship teams and this years team to the most dominant team in history, the 95-96 Bulls. Every time I attempted to make a legitimate point over there, I was quickly attacked by some of those children (and I literally mean children) and soon after called a whiner about something.

Most of them do not realize what true passion and emotion is about the game, which is what the Suns have very much of and the Spurs really lack, and thus they call that whining and crying because it does not agree exactly with what they all say.

I will say, there are a few reasonable Spurs fans to post with, although so very few and far between that I could not tell you names.

I believe cussing is encouraged over there actually. I came across some 17 year old kid last weekend who literally never went a single sentence without a cuss word, and many had 2, and this was at least a 10 paragraph sentence. The best part was he was praised by many after his post with all the cuss words.

Least classy but the most fun to post at. It makes it more interesting when you got the freedom to talk smack over there but you have to be tolerant of getting flamed back.

The thing about a board like ours is, you are going to have to take that kind of stuff with the good posters...

Sports are about rivalries and controversy... we pretty much self regulate when it comes to trolls...

I'm a reasonable Spurs fan... I'm going to take bs from people on this board... don't really care... I take BS from Spurs fans on Spurstalk...

Communities that live with a ton of heavy handed moderation tend to be pretty homeristic... Now... the Admins over there may not agree with ANYTHING you say but for the most part are going to let you say it...

You can call Manu "Flopobili" over there and you won't get banned...

There are very few forums on the web where you can come in as a fan of another team and be a part of a community... That place is one of them...

someone saying "F**K you" and "F**k your mothers?" sorry, i'll pass on a board like that. why any self-respecting venue would allow that type of crap is beyond me. it colors everything and everyone else on that board.

and mind you, i'm typically one of the guys on this board that is a contrarian. usually yelling at our fans to stop whining or complaining about the officials. but compared to that sophomoric crap, i'll take this board of "whiners" any day of the week.

I just went on spurstalk as a guest and read some of their posts and i find it funny that the majority of their threads still have to do with the suns. I understand that we still have some discussion about the spurs but for the most part we talk about the draft and trade ideas etc. You would think that they would be talking about the jazz or something more relative to the present day. Anyways like most of you guys I was apalled at things that are allowed to be said on their board. It makes me appreciate ASFN that much more. Thanks!

yeah, they had a poll about who was better, Suns fans or Jazz fans. I could hardly find any Jazz fans that were even posting on there and very few threads about the series itself in comparison with our series. I mean a few but nothing like our series and the onslaught of Suns fans that came aboard there. Its a joke over there really.

Disagree and agree in the same post. The refs in the game called it a Flagrant 2 foul which calls for an automatic one game suspension. He also got one game for the punch/elbow he threw at Bell.

No... A flagrant 2 does not call for an automatic suspension... that is 100% wrong... it calls for an automatic EJECTION.
