Aside from re-signing players, the San Antonio Spurs last gave a contract extension in 2017, when LaMarcus Aldridge agreed to add two years to his deal and $50 million. The 2018 offseason might not replicate this for anyone on the roster, but two players are not far behind. The Spurs still have official announcements to make on the 2019-20 team options for Jakob Poeltl's $3.75 million and Dejounte Murray's $2.3 million salaries. Both will enter their third NBA seasons in 2018-19, with much to prove after two developmental years. As before the 2017-18 season, Murray and Poeltl should have their team options exercised. Though, it's for the final year of each player's respective rookie-scale contract.
