Giannis is a journeyman?Man, you don’t get a roomie with the type of promise that Dunn has and trade him away for a journeyman type of player.

Portis is. It sure looked like he said that Portis was the only player he would consider trading Dunn for.Giannis is a journeyman?
His post was about trading Dunn for Giannis. Which makes more sense given the context.Portis is.
Yes. I see that now. Don’t know why I misread it like that. His post was about trading Dunn for Giannis. Which makes more sense given the context.
Think you're wrong on when he re-signed. From what I've found he resigned June 29th, so the last day eligible before free agency opened up. He signed a 2 year deal that is only guaranteed for $250k in year 2, so basically nothing. It was a $25m over 2 years and he's making $12.65 this season and if he were retained he'd make $13.28 million. Sounds like the $250k is sort of splitting the difference, if the deal didn't have raises and was flat. He's not playing for Washington. I'd guess they didn't know they'd get Jonas Valanciunas so Holmes was insurance while also being trade bait. He's essentially an expiring contract because no one will let a 250k cap hit get in their way.
I can't find any preseason stats or injury information for him. I imagine he's just hanging back and getting paid. We should see him moved eventually.
Info on the extension is in this article.

That matches what BBReference has as well.
I guess he did play in the preseason. Can't find much of any information but he's listed here on a Wizards fan site, like Bright Side, as the leader in preseason PPA. What PPA is, I'm not sure. However he did play so that's some of the puzzle solved.

That's one hell of a slanted comment about a strong play ruined by his post-play antics. They left out the fact that number 0 clearly, and unnecessarily, initiated contact with Gobert after the play while taunting Gobert.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
I wouldn’t call that “swinging.” Also, Braun should’ve gotten a tech for what he did right after the dunk.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
He did. Both players in the wrong imo.I wouldn’t call that “swinging.” Also, Braun should’ve gotten a tech for what he did right after the dunk.

We'll have to agree to disagree as that's not how it looked to me, it seemed he had plenty of room to stop and celebrate without getting into Gobert's space.I don’t think there was anything over the line there. It was the greatest dunk of his career and he was emoting. His momentum carried him through the baseline and he wasn’t looking at Gobert after seeing the replay from another angle. However I don’t blame Gobert for throwing a forehand based on the contact or Braun getting a tech.
Braun himself regretted doing it after the game, and to his credit, Gobert wrote it off and basically said the kid deserves to celebrate the dunk because it was a hell of a play. So both sides took the high road on this one. We'll have to agree to disagree as that's not how it looked to me, it seemed he had plenty of room to stop and celebrate without getting into Gobert's space.
