The Mavs are looking sharp to start this game.

In this game I want the Spurs to win so they have to play 7 games.

Duncan.........2nd foul 4:07 left in the first quarter!!!

DAllas 17-11

Man who should I root for. I've been rooting for the mavs all series because it is a better matchup for the suns, if they can somehow win game 7.

But now, at the moment of truth I find myself rooting for san antonio, simply because the idea of cuban/dallas w/ a title (which they will be in great position to get if they win this game) is too disturbing.

i'm right there with you - I can't root for a Cuban team. At least if the Spurs win it's the status quo and we still get to be the team who knocks them out - I don't want the Mavs winning anything before us.

I was rooting strongly for the mavs throughout this game, until they started closing in on the end of the third and I kept just kept envisioning the celebration they would be having if they won this game. It didn't set in during game 5, because if they won it would've been a road game.

But just thinking of how the crowd would be acting, specifically after thinking of how good it felt to see that crowd down when we knocked them out last year, I couldn't root for them anymore. Almost in an instant, my rooting interesting did a complete 180. I never recall having that occur during a sporting event.

Come on san antonio d up, no 3's. :p

I have no doubt, watching the way this game was played, if Terry was playing dallas would have won.

One punch may have cost the Dallas Mavericks an NBA title, if I were a mavs fan that would make me slit my wrists.

Finley's balls get the last laugh. Dallas is done.

Jason Terry, the Mavericks' second round goat two years in a row?

SA hasn't been too impressive since their first play-off game. Normally I too would write off the Mavs chances but SA seems vulnerable right now.

Looks like Spurs is going to take game 7. Man, another 1-3 come back for this season. So many game sevens... David Stern must be really happy.

How damn disappointing, at least I will be able to just turn the tv off the nba now since I will not have a reason to watch if the suns lose, mavs lose, and cavs lose which now 2 of these mavs/cavs look likely.

Another spurs vs pistons finals just makes me sick to the deepest depths of my stomach. It was one of the worst rated finals in history and imagine if it happends AGAIN.

I am very disappointed in the mavs, they are just a lottery team to me now that they have blown it in every playoffs/finals. Now was the time for them to finally take charge and put the spurs down and they let the spurs basically take control of the series. Good job mavs and kudos to Jason Terry for being an idiot, its not like the mavs already got a preferential treatment from the refs to pull ahead in the series and they STILL blow it.

Chuck just applauded Avery for going with the small offensive team. Shouldn't he say, "You live by the three, you die by the three. All the Spurs have to do to beat them is hit shots." That is what he says about the Suns when they use that style.

You know who scares me? Dick Bavetta. The Mavs are getting hosed.

Oh well, if the Spurs win, the pressure is all off the Suns (if the Suns win too, of course).

that is putting it gently. These referees are absolutely bending over the Dallas Mavericks. If this game was being called evenly the Mavericks would be up by 15-20 points instead of 7 right now. they are calling absolutely everything against Dallas and missing almost everything against San Antonio.

It looks like it's getting a little bit better now though.

As of midway through the fourth quarter, Nowitzki is playing great. He's showing genuine heart and toughness. Be happy, greensborotroll.

I've never been able to think of Dirk as big time because of past choking playoff performances, but the guy has been REALLY impressive in this series.

Damn, glad to see the Mavs stay alive, but I don't want it to cut into the Suns game.

EDIT: Ooh, Suns game is starting on TBS. I hope I have that channel.

He simply wouldn't let the Mavs lose. He may just have taken that proverbial step into superstardom this postseason. Of course, he's still got one series to blow it.
