Not a bad thing at all. When ppl anoint him as the next Ray Allen you're only setting him up for dissapointment this early. He is very mature sounding for his age and has excellent measurables. I think in 3-4 years he could project into a top-3 SG if the Suns don't screw up his development somehow.

You sound like me, that's the drum I've been beating for awhile. He's going to be pretty good eventually, maybe even great, but that's down the road. A lot of things can happen between now and that point in his career where he hopefully approaches Ray Allen's level. And maybe he won't ever reach that level. Still, it would be a shame if the buildup for the kid was so huge that a solid career as a borderline all star shooting guard wasn't enough for some fans.

Not exactly the traditional rookie wall when you're the best scorer in the starting five of a crappy team and the opposing team prepares for you.

Sorry to basically call out your post, but I will.

Len continues to play CONSISTENTLY pretty solid … I purposely said consistently because reading this comment + some comments on other Suns message boards, there’s a lot of inconsistent talk when it comes to Len right now, but if you actually evaluate how he’s played in the 13 games since his 3 game injury absence he’s been producing:

To save people time from looking up the game logs: Here are the minutes – points – rebounds breakdowns:

*** = Good performance in my opinion

21-6-12 ***
35-13-8 ***
35-16-12 ***
34-16-12 ***
27-4-4
17-6-7 ***
15-6-8 ***
16-2-4
27-12-18 ***
15-5-3
23-13-8 ***
14-6-7 ***
24-23-13 ***

So 11 of the 14 games he’s produced, then he had 1 alright game, and 2 duds … All of this w/ inconsistent minutes, no PG, and still have a hand that’s not 100%

Yes, I’m a big supporter of Len and I think the “inconsistency” talk surrounding him this whole year is mainly because of his minute fluncuation from game to game, not his actual play – And about his TERRIBLE stretch of like 10 games playing injured around the New Years (where he shot like 30%) … Before his hand injury and after injury, he’s been CONSISTENTLY pretty good

I have no problem with you calling out my post. My response would be that Len got less minutes in those games for a reason. He either was being ineffective or he was in foul trouble. Watching the games, that certainly seemed to be the case.

It was. Despite what's been said recently, Jeff actually tried to have stable rotations early in the season. He really didn't start mixing and matching until after Markieff was pulled from the starting lineup. Early in the season though, he had a fairly set rotation. But all too often Len would come in and pick up 2 quick fouls and that would change everything. At some point Jeff should have just let Alex play through those foul issues but he's not the only coach that overreacts to a couple of quick fouls.
