These games were in the playoffs man...THIS YEAR, THESE PLAYOFFS.

Mike, that isn't possible. The Spurs haven't even lost seven total games yet in these playoffs.

Okay, it was six games they lost, and one that they were down 25 and Horry's shot went in and out.

Six games though.

I honestly could care less if Dallas plays defense. They simply preferred to use more of their energy on the offensive end. If it works, who am I to argue? Still, the Dallas Mavericks are quickly becoming one of my least favorite teams. I think they may have surpassed the Utah Jazz says the whiniest team in the NBA.

The my biggest problem with the Dallas Mavericks is Marc Cuban. I can't stand him. He might be the biggest whiner in the organization. It's ridiculous. The other night one of the Dallas Mavericks made a great offensive play and drew the foul, but they showed Marc Cuban scowling and yelling at the referees. And it's about the third time they've shown him doing that.

I agree, Joe, Dallas has so many coaches that I would be surprised if they did not have a whining coach.

The game is changing to one where the "best" team has players who can act (flop), whine, and stretch the rules (intentional fouls) the best.:(

Since when is anything under 15 points or so a "big lead" in the NBA? And for that matter who cares? They beat the Suns in six games. They beat the Lakers in six games. They have the Mavericks down 3-2, and they will probably win the NBA championship in six games or less. They may have blown some leads. They may have blown a few big leads. They have also done something right to get all of those leads. I think it's ridiculous that people are complaining about the way they're points are spread out when they are winning.

They are the best team in the NBA right now, and they have the best player in the NBA right now. There also going to have a boatload of money to spend on free agents this summer. I only wish the Phoenix Suns were winning games like the San Antonio Spurs regardless of when they score their points during the games.

In theory youre dead on, Joe. But my whole point is Ive never seen a team play with less passion and heart and guts ever.

They may be the best team in the NBA, but the way in which they play is LAME. I really cant stand watching them anymore.

Good or not, they show the propensity to fold, and they've shown it regulalry this year in the playoffs. And that is not the sign of a cham pion. They may very well win it all, but thats WAY more of an idication of the league, than it is of their ability.

I thought they showed a lot of heart and guts in the Lakers series. For that matter, they showed guts against the Suns -- that whole series must have been pretty frightening and more than a little embarrassing for them.

The "passion" angle has to do with how much they jump up and down and high-five each other. I agree that they are disappointing to watch in that regard. But should that be a criticism? People have always said similar things about Pete Sampras, but that's just who he is.

Top-flight athletes need get into whatever frame of mind permits them to play their best. For Tim Duncan and the rest of the Spurs, that frame of mind is a calm, relaxed focus. It sure isn't the WWE, but I just enjoy watching people perform well, regardless of how euphoric they look while doing it.

Point taken.

And ELindholm, I agree. Maybe IM just mixng them all together when indeed they are completely seperate things. Im not into the chest thumping and all that either, but I look at this team, and I get nothing. Even their spectacular plays come across as boring. I just dont get it.
