They like to have 4 QB's for training camp. Either St. Pierre or whomever else the Cards aquire, come out of camp as the #3 QB and the other is cut or in the case of a rookie perhaps PS.It's a smart move. He's not going to cost much, and if we don't come out of the draft with a kid QB to groom, we have a 3rd QB. If we do draft a kid, he'll have someone to compete against.
It would be nice to have a #3 that had at least some potential for the future. However, St. Pierre has higher value during the season as the scout team QB than a rookie would have. So it's a toss-up.
