Lafayette – The St. Thomas More Cougars will go home with a trophy for the second year in a row.
For the second year in a row, it’s the second-place trophy.
STM falls to St. Augustine by 10.
While the Cougars scored 9 of the 10 points in the second quarter, they scored none of the 11 points in the third quarter.

Despite falling short in the title game again, head coach Danny Broussard and forward Elijah Guidry say there is much to be proud of with this Cougar squad.
“What a proud coach I am. I’m a proud coach at Saint Thomas More Catholic high school. To say that, you know, we got this, we got this team to the state championship game. That’s quite a quite a tribute to these young men for sure, Broussard says.”
Guidry adds: “We all love each other, All we’re all brothers. Hey, we fought. We fought to get here. We’ve we fight for every win. And even in our loss, we fought. We fought as hard as possible. And I’m. I’m proud to be part of this team.”
St. Thomas More finishes with a record of 26-5.
