All the countless practices, thousands of shots put up and hard work lead to this moment for St. Thomas More boys basketball; The LHSAA Boys Marsh Madness Select Division I finals.
The Cougars are the last standing 337 area team in the postseason, outlasting the other 29 area teams who made the playoffs. They took down opponent after opponent to punch their ticket to Marsh Madness and now one team stands in their way of the state championship.
No. 3 seeded STM will take on No. 4 seed St. Augustine after both squads won their semifinal matchups by a two-point margin. Cougars long-time head coach Danny Broussard will look to lead his team to the promise land and their seventh state title while the Purple Knights are looking for their eighth.
