My son informed me that the cost for preferred parking went from $10 last season to $20.00 this season per game. If true wouldn't this be the most expensive parking, for a sporting event, in the valley?

The Cardinals are really getting greedy considering the ticket increase with such a horrible team.

Have you studied economics? Horrible or not it's about supply and demand. I'll bet they're giving away parking spaces to the Cub's games. Buy enough season tickets and you get a pass.

With the ticket prices what they are now if they add a charge on for parking of over ten dollars I will be done with season tickets. I am in the west lot and hope they keep including parking in the ticket price.

Parking is free with your season tickets, the only parking that costs money is the really close "preferred parking", this is alot better than most events where you have to pay alot to park or park in a seedy neighborhood for free.

If your complaining about preferred parking then stop getting it, its not a long walk from anywhere in the free lots.

Last I checked, preferred parking was a $200 upgrade for the season last year. $200 divided by 10 games is $20/game.

First of all, they haven't announced the parking for 2007 yet. Second, the FUF (facility use fee) of $4.50 per seat covers the free parking provided to each season tickets holder. Sure, if you have 4 seats like I do, you're really paying almost $20 for parking. But, the FUF pays for other things like cleaning up the facility after use, general maintenance, etc.

Suns are the most expensive. The underground garage under the Collier Center which is used for Season Ticket Holders and Cash customers has been $35 the last few weeks. It was ranged $10-$25 this season and then shot up two weeks ago. $35???? Crazy. You can walk two blocks and parking is $5 - $10.

most events in the nation charges more the closer you park - a lot of places charge $20/car standard around stadiums

also note that suns games are going to shoot up in the playoffs, it's cheaper to park during the week than a weekend for the d'backs

i'm fine with my current parking situation

My ticket $15 + $4.50 facility fee + free parking = $19.50 less than parking alone at most NFL stadiums. Greedy? or Hater?

Then don't buy the tickets. If they are "so greedy" and have "such a horrible team" then I'm sure you can better spend your money.

People will ALWAYS find something to complain about.

I complain about the $7 beers, but I don't buy them either.

Only a couple of things to complain about and that is the Drive from East Mesa to the stadium and the fact they kick you out so quick after the game and do not let you tailgate more. There both out of my comfort zone but I go anyway. I could complain more about them giving "Tailgator of the game" to people on the Grassy lawn only when true tailgating is done out of the back of a pickup ( a nod to the Derminator) but Winning will cure all, so Win Cards. Thats it.

Rats...you need to get preferred parking this year and line up next to Derm......

Yeah Rats! That way we could be sure no "visitors" got the spot next door. And anyway that 50 foot walk between the Hummer and the Avalanche wears me out.

No joke! After a few "sodas" that walk over the curb and sidewalk was tough!

Sometimes I even had to walk 20 feet east or west to get to your spot too! Can you be a bit more considerate this year?

Out of curiosity, does parking in the preferred area reduce any of the headaches of getting in/out of the parking lot? I assume it's still a mess on the main streets, but is it quicker within the lot?

Slower actually.

We go so early and stay so late that we wouldn't know. I did notice last season that the preferred lot filled much later than the other lots.

All the Lexus, Jags, Beemers, Navigators, and Escalades show up right before kickoff.

On the bright side, you can tailgate after the games in these lots. I've never been hassled by security for tailgating after the game when traffic does not move for over an hour...

Right. I was just pointing out that if you are in a rush to get out of there the prefered lots aren't for you. Your best bet is to get into a normal lot and make sure you are in the VERY back.
