Wasn't able to watch the game, but did check in on the score occassionally and just watched the highlights. Somewhat shocked that we were able to beat Stanford on offense, defense and special teams. Awesome signature win! Putting up 26 points on the top "points allowed" defense in the country is pretty impressive. Our O line really opened some big holes for Foster and Lewis and Berco. was solid. And what can you say about the D, what an effort.

Still a little puzzled on how we won the line of scrimmage battle against this bigger team, but I will definitely take it.

Best defensive performance in a long time. Interesting that Graham went to a much more traditional 4-3 defense and I wonder how much we'll use it going forward.

Graham made 3 huge changes on defense...he chose to start Latu, Cherry and Longino. And it made a gigantic difference.
He also got back to basics in practice and got the defense to focus on blowing up the line of scrimmage... It all worked and produced an incredible win for the Devils. Definitely didn't see this coming as I never thought the defense was capable of putting up this type performance... But Latu and Cherry are HUGE physical specimens and Longino is bigger and stronger than Calhoun... Brilliant!

Awesome. Hopefully those changes will yield similar results in the games that follow...

That may just come down to the Territorial Cup. This is a crazy year in the PAC12

Lets see how our defense holds up over the next few games and how the situation with our starting QB evolves.

So how did you like the Stanford game?

Can't argue with 26 against Furd's defense. You have a legit qb controversy.

As for Stanford, I didn't realize that Hogan had become trash. Last few games, he's looked so bad.

I can't make an argument for any team to win the PAC 12 south but can make an argument for why each won't make it:

Arizona - can't play in the first half
Arizona State - can't play defense
Colorado - why did we let a FCS team into the PAC?
UCLA - significant issues on the offensive line
USC - Sark is capable of coaching himself into a couple of losses
Utah - Can't play competitive offense

As Absolute Zero said, it may well come down to the Territorial Cup to determine who wins the PAC 12 South.

I think the key play that gave the Sun Devils momentum to win this game was the muffed punt by Stanford's Ty Montgomery. Whoever hit Montgomery to keep him from attempting to recover the ball made a very smart play.

After watching the replay, let me correctly give Damarious Randall credit for not only hitting Ty Montgomery when he tried to field the punt (noted above) but recovering the ball as well.
