Amazing game going on. Arizona is moving the ball at will in the 2nd half, very impressive.

Looks like one of those games where whoever has the ball last wins.

The dumpster fire of defensive talent is ultimately to blame for this, but Rich Rod sitting on it at the end of regulation was one of the dumbest coaching decisions I have ever seen a UofA Football coach make.

And trust me, I have seen enough of those to last a couple lifetimes.

I didn't mind that decision. Lousy kick return kind of forced Rich Rod's hand, IMO. With the way Stanford linemen were batting balls around (see the three-and-out series before, pick in OT) why risk the turnover for a slim chance at getting into FG range, which then carries an even slimmer chance of getting put through the uprights?

This loss stings, but we all know that Arizona even competing in a game like this says something about the job Rich Rod is doing (and how miserable a coach Stoops really was).

Well yeah, the defense Stoops left is Big Sky level which we have known since spring camp.

But the balls were getting batted down because Stanford realized we were getting conservative and were only throwing slants towards the end. I realize Rodriguez doesn't fully trust Scott especially in pressure situations but you gotta give the only strength on the entire team a chance to win the game.

I don't disagree. However, offense had a chance to win the game. They went three-and-out. A couple first downs on that drive and the game is over.

But everything his UA team is we figured it would be coming into the season, except maybe the offense is better than we imagined. It's frustrating but what can you do except hope Rich Rod is the right guy and will build this program up.

Yeah I definitely don't take these things that hard anymore. One of the benefits of growing old I suppose. The team is very young so we'll see what Rich Rod has up his sleeve going forward. I just hope it includes good defensive line and linebacker recruits.

I said 5-7 before the season, again looks about right. Just hoping we can scratch our way to six wins somehow.

I was checking the game on my phone and saw that he was running the ball with 45 seconds left and 2 timeouts. Told myself that we're gonna lose. Very poor decision, IMO. I would rather see us get to FG range and have Bonano miss than see RichRod tuck his tail between the legs and play for overtime. What did he expect: the Desert Swarm to make a comeback in OT? Defense was abysmal, as usual, and was not about to get better. No talent on defense plus injuries is a recipe for disaster.

The only silver lining from the game is the offense will be consistent through the season.

Personally, I have complete faith in RichRod, but understand if it takes two years to stock the empty cupboards with talented players.

My guess is 5 wins this year and an irrelevant bowl game next season.
