Pretty bad if they couldn’t put together a script with several popular novels on the subject. Just adapt a Stackpole novel.

Great director, lousy writer. I think it's that simple. I mean, the directing wasn't the issue in the abomination that was the last WW movie; the writing was simply garbage. Hire someone to pen a great script, maybe consulting with her, and have her direct it. Seems like the best idea. Problem is, I'm doubting she'd be down for that.

Except she wasn’t writing this one. They got the Eternals writers to do it.

Still not surprised there are script issues.

Oh. I could've sworn she was. And oh, OH! Yeah, getting the Eternals writers was probably a really bad move. Dear lord, their script was a freaking train wreck.

You're right, so there is a good chance that Jenkins as director is just a coincidence and not the reason for the removal. Doesn't mean it's cancelled, just that they are unsure of when the movie will be finished, let alone when they can slate it in the release schedule.
