This is probably the first Star Wars movie I can think of that isn't releasing the book until AFTER the movie (although you can get the digital download on the 18th--the proper hard cover isn't available until January 5th).
They (JJ Abrams, Lucasfilm & Disney) are trying really hard to avoid spoiling much of the movie and to be honest I think right now if you aren't looking for them you can be pretty spoiler free going in. Even if you ARE looking for them there still hasn't been a reveal on the final look of Snoke (you can find an early concept art) or a confirmed Luke Skywalker storyline (plenty of rumors and speculation though). Just over 2 weeks until release and a lot of the story truly is under wraps.
Let me start with this: The Force Awakens is absolutely the Star Wars movie you've been waiting for since Return of the Jedi, not only because it continues the story of the original trilogy, but because it brilliantly recaptures the essence of those movies while adding its own new touches, memorable characters, and iconic moments to the saga. As I'm sitting here writing this, mere minutes after seeing the film at a screening, I think The Force Awakens is the best Star Wars movie since The Empire Strikes Back, and by an incredibly large margin.
Going to Brass Tap tomorrow evening for Stouts and Smores, a Star Wars themed beer party (Brass Tap will be playing all the Star Wars movies as well) and then to the Cinemark after to watch the movie.
No, I will not be at Brass Tap tomorrow

800 TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE for the 3D Telshor 12, 10 p.m. premiere of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" @CrucesSunNews
Spoilers are out there, peeps. Far greater than what a character was wearing or carrying on an unreleased action figure package. Tread lightly on the web until you see the film.
Avoid any SW searches on Google, Youtube, and even Wikipedia. Yikes.

I was already spoiled on a Facebook page totally non-related to Star Wars, they showed a screen shot of an obviously pretty important scene. It was something I had heard rumors of happening, but I sure could have done without the picture.
Less than 6 hours until I am in the theater.
