Well it was their 3rd game in 3 nights. I would guess that JJ didn't play a lot of minutes tonight after dominating nad playing a lot on friday and saturday.

Leandro seemed to play pretty well in his first game and Zarko also another good game.

Boxscore isn't up yet.

The Chicago Bulls held off a fourth quarter run by the Phoenix Suns when Roger Mason, Jr. connected on a 27 foot three-point basket at the buzzer to defeat the Suns, 71-68 Sunday afternoon at the Reebok Rocky Mountain ***** in Salt Lake City.
The Suns, down by 13 points early in the first half, stormed back into the game by holding the Bulls to just two points in the first six minutes of the final stanza. Led by Andy Ellis? nine 4th quarter points, Phoenix took its first lead of the evening with 4:12 remaining in the game at 57-55. The Suns then extended their lead to 68-63 at the 1:25 mark. Chicago then scored the final eight points of the game, including Mason?s three-pointer at the buzzer.

Chicago held Phoenix to just 20 percent shooting to start the game, taking a 19-10 lead after one quarter. Phoenix connected on just 3-15 field goals with Leandro Barbosa scoring seven of the Suns? 10 first quarter points. The Bulls shot 42 percent from the field, and jumped to a 12 point lead with just 3:30 remaining in the first quarter.

Phoenix then scored the first four points of the second quarter, narrowing the lead to 14-19, then each team traded baskets through the remaining minutes of the second period with the Bulls going into the locker room with a 33-28 lead. Lonnie Baxter led the Bulls in the first half with 13 points while Barbosa added nine for the Suns.

In the third quarter, Chicago extended their lead to 10 again at 48-38 at the 4:16 mark behind Lonny Baxter?s six points. The Suns again closed to within seven at 43-50 at the 2:24 mark, but the Bulls held a 55-47 lead at the end of three.

Chicago was led by Lonny Baxter?s 27 points and Dalibor Bagaric?s 10 points as the Bulls won their second game in two tries at the *****. Phoenix was led by four players in double figures with Zarko Cabarkapa scoring 18 points, Leandro Barbosa with 12 and Andy Ellis and Joe Johnson with 11. Phoenix shot just 38 percent from the field for the game while the Bulls shot 40 percent. Phoenix is now 1-2 in the Reebok Rocky Mountain *****. Chicago plays tomorrow at 4 PM MT while the Suns have the day off.

Zarko's stats are pretty consistent. I actually like that a lot.

Re: box score

Barbosa looked alot more impressive than Hinrich imo, Hinrich was being pretty wild, and didnt look very comfortable out there, he did foul quite bit. Barbosa has a weird shot but it goes in and he is very long and quick. Zarko has looked good, better than Skita out of Denver, the guy can flat out shoot, he passes well and knows how to score, the thing that worries though is his defense and true position SF or PF?? Baxter is very crafty, the guy just works for everything he gets, he did abuse Zarko today, just like Zach Randolph abused him last night. Mason hit a long three with Joe Johnson in his face as time ran out, he looked pretty good, he is not 6'5 though closer to 6'3 imo but he did impress. Qyntel Woods has been great thus far, hes been the best player out on the court it seems like every time he plays, the guy knows how to get the basket and score. Travis Outlaw has crazy athleticism and his shot has improved but is still very raw. Marquis Daniels!! wow how did he not get drafted? he kind of reminds me of Jamal Crawford.

Wow what a game. My boy Roger Mason Jr. pulled of the game winning 3 that kept the game from going into overtime with 1.3 seconds left. He was like 4-5 feet behind the 3 line too. There was allot of lead changes, thanks to Barbosa nailing 3s left and right, that boy can flat out shoot. He broke this guys ankles bad on a play.

I've got to believe that when the regular-season starts they will not be having Zarko guard power forwards one-on-one. I don't know about Baxter, but Randolph can take a good number of the starters at power forward and score on them. It's a bit ridiculous to expect a skinny European like Zarko to stop him.
