The Dallas Stars have fired coach Marc Crawford after missing the playoffs in each of his two seasons. Stars general manager Joe Nieuwendyk made the announcement Tuesday, two days after Dallas failed to break a three-season playoff drought. Crawford won the 1996 Stanley Cup with Colorado, and later coached in Vancouver and Los Angeles.
