We need one last shot at proving that we can win on the road in the East. Start the starters next week and see how we do.

I agree, I think it will go a long way in improving confidence if this team gets out of the 1st round and have to go to New York

I think depending on how things are going in NE let the guy play the whole game. But dont ask him to throw the ball 45 times again. Just run, run, pass. We cant get any better seeding so give his arm a rest.

Then do the same for the Seattle game. 20 attempts max for both games IMO. Good way of giving him some time off and still get some reps to stay sharp for Jan. 4th.

Gotta go with starting Kurt, getting him some playing time, then put Matt in.

I think now we just go into hybernation and develop some goofy assed game plan that no one would ever expect, show notihing of what our intentions are the next two games and suprise the snot out of someone right off the bat.

Then just when they don't expect it go hurry up on them and bury them before they have a chance to react again.

We should have fun with this, we need to develop a run game in like 3 weeks but the good news is all we have to do is use JJ and not use the shotgun and poof there it is.

Work on some of that the next two weeks, no shotgun at all, none, all drop backs, then put it back in at times in the playoff game, go crazy, mix it up a bit, play football like you want to win the game sheesh.

I don't really agree, I think Warner has an ego. It's not an ego like Terrell Owens and others have but he has this unadulterated feeling that he's an all world player. He has major self confidence and that's either good or bad depending on the situation.

Have to agree. Sometimes that attitude can get you into trouble. It's alittle like hope. The feeling of "I know I am good and I can make this happen" might lead to some poor decisions and, well, turnovers.

Initially I was going to disagree, but I can buy this argument. It seems they show up for the "big" games and drop a duece in the bed for the others. While I believe every game on the schedule is important it seems they don't mind being humiliated on the field.

Disagree with them seemingly not minding being embarrassed. Totally disagree. A totally awful game doesn't equal no heart.

It's been theorized that Kurt hurts the running game basically because of his love for the shotgun.

I agree.

JJ should be the starting RB, Troy said as much today and I've said that for a couple weeks now.

Hightower and Edge are both too slow and we're not a power running team, JJ is the back of choice for what we do and he can catch passes.

If he started with Matt as the QB out of more balanced formation we'd run the ball just fine IMO.

This team is in the shotgun way too much, IMHO. Defenses know what play we're running practically every freaking time. We're lucky we have WRs that can knock off defenders.

And, yes, JJ should be the back. He should have seen more time this season, especially in the past three weeks. Whiz said Edge wasn't playing cause Hightower was working. Well, now what?

I would not be opposed to this, at all, since the 3 seed is, for all intents and purposes, out of grasp.

I don't think I want Warner benched for both games; too much rest can be bad, but I don't think we stand a snowball's chance in New England of winning next Sunday. Give Warner a break for a week, let Leinart get some experience, and bring Warner back for Seattle.

:yeahthat:

And get Arrington more rushes. I don't see any reason not to. He's averaging 5.9 yards per rush. Lets see what happens when he get 10+ carries @New England. If that goes well give him 20+ against Seattle.

at most I would only consider giving leinart the ball in the final game.....at most. I don't know who the cards play in their final home game? you want to be playing the best football that can be played going into the playoffs and warner clearly gives this team that chance. I didn't see the game today.....I don't know how kurt played. but the vikings front is among the best in football...in stopping the run and creating a pass rush. they easily compare with the other elite teams in those regards.

Get knocked around as many times as he did yesterday and I sure any qb would look glassy eyed. Good point on his arm looking dead (or is it he was to rushed).

I dunno, Warners arm looks dead and he's got that glassy look in his eyes
I agree. A bunch of his downfield passes were way off mark and underthrown. I would let him start both games but take him out after a quarter,or so,just like in pre-season. I don't really care if Warner is going for a passing record or MVP. You have to get ready for the playoffs. Whiz should juts come out and say this is the plan and go with it. That way there is no controversy. On the flip side,if you do that, you're pretty much saying that you don't care about the last 2 games and that may not be good thing for a young playoff team.

What a goof idea. Is it warner's fault he is on his ass most of the night?

They need to establish some momentum with a victory next week. Starting leinart is ridiculous and wont be done.

Mabe the last game of the season rest Warner in the second half.

Do you think going into the playoffs at 8-8 is a good idea. The Cards are thought of as a weak playoff team and most teams are licking their chops at the thought of facing them.

We need to figure out how to win again and Leinart is not the answer this late in the season. Warner will and should play next week.

No way at least 1st half of both games to keep sharp.

Theoretically I agree... however, he is not sharp and has not been for the last 3 games... give him a break... it is a miracle that he has not been hurt from all the beatings he gets because of the O-Line. To me it makes it more relevant that ML gets some real game scenarios. We are #4 seed and that won't change... give ML some snaps, he may need the practice, particularly since the Dallas D seems to have found some new life is going after QB's (Eli for 8 on Sunday night)... KW might not make it through the 1st quarter and without playing all year ML will only make it worse if he has to replace KW due to injury.

I'm not opposed to seeing Leinart start the 2nd half of the next 2 games. Don't know if he'll be ready ... he's been busy with Maria Sharapova and all.

I saw Leinart in a hot tub after the game with Fez, two strippers and Nick Lachey.
