I expect D'Antoni to start Diaw... not a bad idea as that lets Bell move back to SG and Shawn slide over to SF. Still I think I'd start JimmyJack as SF to try to get him solidly back on track with a gesture of respect.

Bring Diaw in with Eddie House when Nash sits. Put some PG responsibility on Eddie's shoulders, which he may respond well to. And he's got Diaw to be the playmaker just like Barbs did. It worked once so why not try it again? (Eric will undoubtedly hit me with the roulette analogy...)

I'd bring Jones at the same time because Diaw's curling drive from the left high post almost always frees James up for a three pointer in a nice rhythm. Of course, hold his feet to the fire if he gets lax on the boards.

This group could be as much a blitzkreig unit as Leandro and Diaw were in the first few games. I think it unsettles opponents when the second team runs wild. And it gives us a whole new look if nothing else.

Heck, I'd go the whole nine yards and bring Burke in, too. And fuel a little competitive spirit between the first and second units. That could take a little weight off the first unit and have them be hungry to get back on the floor and show the second unit they can romp just as much.

I do think Burke is going to work out okay. There isn't anything to lose by giving him every opportunity to prove it and there is a lot to gain - he, at least, has a semblance of an inside game. In rough terms he'll fit well with Amare though he lacks Thomas' veteran savvy. Frankly, if his man starts paying too much attention to Amare, I think he'd be more inclined than Kurt to slip in close.

I saw someone say he was pining for Voskuhl after watching Burke... not me - I'll take Burke hands down. I don't think I'd take him over Hunter at this point but I won't be shocked if he turns out to be the better player. I think Burke has it in him to become a crafty player. We'll see...
