Hello everyone.....
I have been the moderator of this forum for over a year and I really do apologize for my lack of moderating/posting over the past couple months..... I didnt must more in part because I was extremely livid about the CBA negotiations and how the entire '04-'05 season was canceled.... However, I never lost my extreme passion toward the game, but I would have posted my grief/utterings to the extent that it would have been at ad nauseam, so I pretty much put a "gag order" on myself for the most part so I wouldnt do that at the expense of everyone......
Anyways.... First, I can't tolerate those who "troll" in this forum... If you despise hockey and all you contribute are posts about your "anti-hockey stance", then you're quite honestly not welcomed in this forum whatsoever... I rather welcome everyone, but it seems some just post in this forum for the sake of doing nothing but expressing/voicing their hatred toward the game and tend to overlook that that are many like myself who have been avid hockey fans for over 20-years..... I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but if you know that you're constantly posting messages with such negative overtones/connotations that you're absolutely not accomplishing anything but inciting harsh arguments that erupt into "brawls" (had to toss in some hockey term into this post)..... Just no sense in that.....
Also, I acknowledge that some posters on here are not Coyotes, but root for other teams.... You're most certainly welcomed in this forum as long as you don't do anything to try to antagonize us Coyotes fans.... That's what the "Smack Shack" forum is for anyways... To serve that purpose... Also... that's the forum where others who despise hockey (IE the NHL) can express their hatred/disdain toward the sport... that's what the purpose of that forum serves... an outlet for those to express their bitterness in a uniformed and constructive manner without disrupting the type of exchange that is highly encouraged in this forum.... those who possess extreme passion toward the game.....
I know some have disowned the NHL for the demise of last season, but I hope all of you who did will eventually give the league another opportunity.... Especially if you're a Coyotes fan because they seem to be poised and on the verge of greatness........ Just can't wait to finally see all their offseason additions hit the ice together along with some other players that they're rumored to be interested in... Also, I cannot wait to see when Wayne Gretzky officially becomes their coach and I hope his success as a player will translate into that as a coach..Contrary to what happened when Ted Williams managed the Washington Senators.... Just it seems that sometimes the best players dont make the best manages/coaches because it was all natural for them and they take it for granted with other players who have to develop/hone their style/level....
I cannot wait for the '05-'06 season... I hope we have game threads and some chats...some lively discussions/debates (but not of those who insist on absolutely nothing but trolling), and also to track/follow a team that might very well be w/in close distance of finally winning it all....
So...I look forward to see this forum blossom along with the Coyotes franchise themselves.....
Edit: If anyone has suggestions about how to make this forum one in which people would post on more regularly, please feel free to share.. Any feedback is welcomed of that and this post....
