at least these guys seem like intelligent fans. That's not the norm when it comes to steeler fans.

Steelers Fans...

Thanks for noticing the post guys. I'm Blitzburgh from BehindtheSteelCurtain. I've written a few other things about the Cards, and there should be a full preview forthcoming in the next several days. Most of us think this is a dangerous game for us, so we're looking forward to the challenge. I also had a post on Larry Fitzgerald on my main page that you guys might have an opinion on. I wont provide the link since I doubt your administrators want that, but if you follow the previous link and go to the main page, you'll see it down the page a bit.

Good luck to you guys!

We have great administrators who believe in open discussions. Sure, you'll get hit if all you do is bait the fans, but more information is never a bad thing, especially if you have a good argument.

Here you go... Pretty good stuff! Our admins don't mind good stuff. I enjoyed the comments... nice intelligent folks for the most part.

Well that was a nice change of pace from a football board. So there's ASFN and BSC. At least there's other classy folks like us out there.

(We can call them ASFN East, shhh don't tell)

steelers fans

I'm really nervous about this game.

I have some good friends who are die-hard Steelers fans... I try to talk football with them, but no matter what year it is, what the records are like, etc... the Steelers are _the_ team to beat.

I tried to have a football discussion with them in comparing Steelers and Ravens defenses.. and all I got was 'we are better' ... wouldn't discuss competition, games, etc.

If we lose by more than 1 score, the next month of my life at work could be hell. I really hope we pull this one off. I'll take a 3 point win in the last second... it would balance the season nicely.

Like I said last week, if we can escape the first 4 games 2-2, I think we might be destined for great things this season.

If we limp out of the season's first quarter at 1-4, I don't think we're through (this first 4 games I think is by far the most difficult stretch), but we'll have an uphill battle.

we have the rams next, 2-3 at worst with a loss to the steelers.

No game is a gimme. I hope like crazy the Cardinals can beat the Rams, but I just can't count it an automatic win.
You are right. I did not expect them to lose to 49ers and at the same time I never expected them to play a tight game on road against Ravens and have a change to win in the final seconds. Any given Sunday...

However, there is a good chance we take that game. Rams are seriously hurting right now. And I don't believe we are the same team this year that would give a zero win team their only win.

AZ Running Game

Perhaps overlooked slightly, but the Steelers haven't let a RB rush for 100 yards in a game since 2005. Actually however, it was to Edgerrin James, when he was with the Colts. But of course, the Steelers were playing a bunch of Cover-2 and basically conceeding the run-game in order to minimize Manning and Co's arial assault. I've been impressed with the resurgence of James behind this new line, but I still think it'll be tough for James to muster more than 65-85 yards on Sunday. If the Cards are going to win, it's going to be with a few big plays in the air, combined with a few Steelers turnovers. That said, a 75 yard day for Edge would go along way towards keeping the AZ defense off the field enough to keep it close.

I agree. It will be very tough for Edge to get 100. We don't have Payton Manning who help open up the running game. If he gets 100, I am positive we win.
