By the time the 2025 NFL draft comes around, we hope the Pittsburgh Steelers have some level of stability at the quarterback position and can just focus on filling other roster needs in the draft. With March Madness in full swing, we are giving some NFL draft March madness with a new seven-round mock draft that fits the bill for the Steelers, especially if the team signs quarterback Aaron Rodgers and includes a trade-up in the first round.
To be sure the Steelers land huge Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant the Steelers sent their third-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft to the Arizona Cardinals along with the No. 21 pick to secure the No. 16 overall pick and get their top option to shore up the Steelers run defense.
This might seem a bit early but cornerbacks are always over drafted and Williams' measurables and skills in man coverage make this an easy choice to be the guy to work behind veteran Darius Slay.
Adding Williams would give the Steelers the biggest, most athletic trio of receivers in the NFL. Williams is much better than his stats and could be serious weapon in the slot at 6-foot-4 and 222 pounds with 4.4 speed.
For a team with Rodgers on the roster, Brady Cook makes perfect sense. Cook has a very high ceiling thanks to a huge 2024 season and amazing athleticism and confidence. Cook could sit and learn behind a future Hall of Famer and continue to hone his skills.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has made it clear he loves having guards who are former tackles and kick inside which makes Jones, who looks like a better guard prospect than tackle like he was at LSU.
Sanders seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle with such a loaded running back class but his combination of size and speed cannot be overlooked. He's never been as strong statistically as his talent would indicate and he's not much of a weapon in the passing game but in the Steelers scheme, he could put up huge numbers.
