The Aaron Rodgers runaway train continues to run rampant throughout the Steel City — and everyone from analysts to fans is calling on the four-time MVP to make his decision already.
Insider Gerry Dulac was fielding all the heavy-hitting questions during Wednesday’s Steelers chat on the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. One fan asked if Rodgers has a “secret deal” in place with Pittsburgh — an idea Dulac quickly dismissed:
“He does not [have a secret deal in place]. The Steelers have a good feeling about him signing, and they’ve had an offer on the table for a long time now. If you want to call that secret, go ahead.”
While he shot down the idea of a hidden, behind-the-scenes deal — and downplayed the secrecy between Rodgers and the Steel City — it’s a disheartening reality that the Pittsburgh Steelers would allow a 41-year-old QB to take them on this joy ride through free agency without some sort of verbal agreement for 2025.
