Russell ran for 78 yards last year and 3 TDs in his 2nd year...wonder if he would be of interest to the Cardinals.

Smith lands in Detroit. Best wishes to him. Thanks for the Super memories, TS!

Dang. Back in the day, a person could send a player an email on nflplayers.com
I wish I could do that for Smith, let him know I appreciated his time with the team.

I wouldn't mind Russell. He'd be dirt cheap and he's a tough inside runner who was the Steelers goal line back this year. He also had a 2.8 yard average so he'd compliment Hightower very well.

I know people won't like this, but:

I love Terrelle Smith and all, but I don't remember him doing much that is special.

1. Russell goes into the waiver system so we might know if we wanted him by today at a cost of 460k.

2. If Smith makes the team we got another player to add to the comp pick formula, which means a 7th rounder in 2010 for T. Smith.

Right on for #2.

Russel is from right here in central Ohio. He's had some character issues that may scare the Cards, and others, away. Talent-wise,he'd definitely be worth a look.

He's an ex-Steeler, he'll be signed in 48 hours...

Of course the 78 yards is quite impresssive, I hope he gets at least half of the that in Cardinal red.
