So I believe this ended up being a tv series rather than movies. It says it will be on CBS All Access. Does that mean it will only be available on a paid streaming service and not regular tv? That would be a bummer. I'm not paying for a another streaming service when I already pay for cbs via youtubetv.

Yes it is a limited series like the original and only on Access so they don’t have to worry about standards.

I’m pretty excited for this. The Stand is probably my second favorite book, and as hokey as the miniseries was, I actually feel like they got the tone of it right and loved the casting... even Jamie Sheridan’s mullet.

but this should be a no holds barred ten hour telling of the book. Really dig the cast aside from Whoopi as Mother Abigail. That one is pretty meh for me.
