Suns are my Kryptonite!
Is it injury related or just him being a team cancer? 10 day contract?

No to Stevie Franchise. Former offensive-talent at PG with a big ego no longer matching production and can't defend. Definitely not what this team needs in a back-up PG.
I was just hoping that I would open this thread and NOT see anyone suggesting we should sign this guy... what was i thinking?
He just isn't very good anymore.
Yeah but is that because he doesn't get the time anymore or did he have some sort of major injury?? That guy could drop 30 points on any given night. Barring injury that doesn't just go away.
Besides, we don't need to depend on the guy for 30 minutes a night. We just need someone who can handle the ball and make a shot every now and then.
I just have not kept up with this guys career. That's why I am wondering.
I think he had some sort of injury this year while on the Rockets, but was never able to get time over guys like Aaron Brooks, and Luther Head when healthy anyway.Yeah but is that because he doesn't get the time anymore or did he have some sort of major injury?? 10 contract? Sure why not?
Best case: He becomes another Eddie House and gives our bench a huge lift in terms of scoring.
Worst case: He poisons the entire team by offering tainted girl scout cookies at practice and we cut him after 10 days.
That's what I was thinking as well. If you don't like the guys attitude or what he brings your not on the hook.
Bring him in at least for a look?
To me, the fact that he was let go by one of the worst teams in the league speaks volumes.
Suns fans just love taking other teams' castoffs sight-unseen.
I was going to post along the same lines. Even though I believe we should have a legit backup Point Guard, it looks like Porter has decided on Leandro getting backup PG minutes to bring the ball up and provide what he does best -- point-a-minute instant offense. As long as Barbosa keeps his good form, there is little chance for the team to spend money on another PG, veteran or rookie. If u noticed, in Jan, Barbosa averaged 13.8ppg, 1.8apg, 2.0rpg in 22mpg, 51.2 FG% and 48.6 3P%. There is no way to cut his minutes when he is playing like that.
Unless we trade him, there won't be any more search for PG. Nash and Barbosa duo will be what we depends on into playoff.
Neither do i.I don't think LB has done that bad of a job running the offense over the past month or so.
