stability is good.

where Keim needs to improve:

1. Less swinging for the fences in draft picks -- mixing in a few more "high floor" players wouldnt hurt

2. A bit more judgement on free agent contracts. Mike Iupati is still a top 10 or so paid guard from a contract .......three offseasons ago. That seems excessive. Still no idea what the thinking was behind the Gresham contract either. I guess its progress for this long time Cardinal fan where my complaint is the team spending too much money on players.....

Noooooooooo; sooooo overrated. Let him prove himself this off-season than extend him.

Can't draft; falls in love with small school guys and players changing position. Major fail only qbof was Logan Thomas. Signed honey badger to alot of money coming off 2 ACLs. Etc

Keim only hits have been 1 year prove it deals; Palmer and Jones trade. The rest has been mediocre. He was targeting Abdalluh not David Johnson as well. well. this team needs to build through the draft and Keim can't draft and gets out worked almost every draft; by other teams out working him and moving up; because Cardinals draft needs are always so glaring and obvious; they know who to jump ahead of

Steve Keim is not perfect, far from it. But, as many above have stated, he also isn't terrible. This contract will show us how much Arians had to do with the success over the past couple years.
Hopefully, it was Arians & his coaching staff that had a lot to do with the draft blunders as well.

I think the non QB drafting, small school reaches; falling in love with players who changed position, Shows its Keim making this absurd selections

Wins are wins; but if you focus in the notes that he is solely responsible for; it's not as great. Keim has some major flaws

We could go frame-by-frame of all of our careers and find fundamental flaws, but I would venture to guess that 99% of us are very good at our respective jobs.

As you said: Wins are wins, and that's what it's all about. Obviously, whatever contributions Keim has given has made Arizona the 5th most winningest franchise since he entered the league. He is not without flaws, but as many have said, he has the ownership's trust and has had measurable success, despite our opinions and assertions.

Keim & Michael have a great working relationship & each appear to trust each other.

With that said Keim & his scouts have to be better at drafting first & second rounders starting this season, or his seat will start to get hot! His long term tenure imo relies on drafting or signing a longtime QB & that clock starting ticking the day Palmer said adios. I also think somehow we need to redo part of his scouting department.

Go get your QB Stevo!

This is a moronic move, IMO. Why do this now? If he falls apart in the draft again, and if he fails to rebuild this team the way it needs to be rebuilt--and especially if he fails to find a quality QBOF--the Cards will have to fire him and eat a fat new contract instead of the contract he was on already.

Unfortunately, what this tells me is that he isn't gone even if he DOESN'T fix the problems. This tells me that, even if we suck, he'll remain in his job, and that's troubling at best. While it is optimal that the GM have the owner's trust, it isn't a great idea to trust unconditionally.

When did his current contract run out? Would have preferred them to wait until this upcoming season is over. His draft record is not good.
