I wonder what type of role he is playing. Maybe a recruiter of talent? Didn't he play with Ginobli?

I've read he is a good evaluator of talent. Supposedly one of the up and coming management types in the NBA.

Maybe he will be Bryan C's right hand man. He would probably be a better GM than Bryan!

Mentor for Nash?
5 rings! He always goes where he can get a ring. He wants a sixth one in Phoenix. Ownership gets rings, too! :) Could be a sign a championship is coming to Phoenix! :)

I thought he had to give one of his rings to JC before he could get the job?

:p

My first memory of Kerr was when his dad was killed when he was playing ball at UOFA. The ASU fans booed Kerr every time he touched the ball. The worst act of sportsmanship I have ever seen. And I am an ASU grad. Disgraceful act!

He said publicly last week that he would eventually like to coach.

I don't think he would like to coach the Suns though. I think Kerr's long term goal would be to succeed Lute Olson. Which seems a natural fit.

Kerr said he doesn't want to coach in the NCAA. He wants to coach in the NBA if anything. He wants to stay involved with the NBA but isn't sure if it will be coaching at some point or something else.

If he wants to coach in the NBA, then I say that Mike's coaching seat may be getting a little warm in the next year or two if they don't improve on the court. Suns Coach Steve Kerr. Sounds cool!

They didn't just boo. They chanted, "PLO! PLO! PLO!" It was the PLO that had assassinated Kerr's father.

If there has ever been a more unsportsmanlike act in this country... I can't think of any.

I remember Kerr was told by Olson he could take the night off after that happened, because Kerr was so upset. Kerr said he wanted to play, then torched them for like 17 points in the first half... hardly missed a shot.

When the Suns replace D'Antoni I hope they get an experienced guy. I'm sick of the Suns practice of always bringing in first timers. Hopefully the new owners will be more open to bringing in a guy with a proven record.
