just got this....interesting...

BREAKING NEWS
Dear Brian,
In the wake of our playoff loss to San Antonio - and of Mike D'Antoni's
subsequent departure to New York - I felt it was important to reach
out to you to communicate my vision for the future of our organization.
Obviously we're all disappointed in the way our season ended,
especially since we really believed we had a chance to win the championship.Â
But with our core intact for next year, plus the addition of the 15th
pick in the upcoming draft, we feel very strongly that we're going to
again be one of the top teams in the NBA. The first order of business,
of course, is to begin the search for our next head coach. Mike has
done a terrific job here for the past four seasons, and we certainly wish
him well in New York. But we're excited about moving forward and
potentially improving what is already an excellent team. In order to do
that, we're going to need strong leadership. The process has already
begun to make sure we find the right person for the job. With the talent
we have in place, I think it's critical that we don't stray too far
from our current identity as a team. I am looking to hire someone who
will continue to coach exciting, up tempo basketball. But I also think
we can become more balanced and versatile defensively. Ideally, I
want to find a coach who has NBA experience – one who has played for or
been on the staff of championship caliber teams.Â
I'm also looking for someone who communicates well, not only with the
media and our fans, but with our players and our staff as well. A
strong presence is critical in this job, which is incredibly demanding and
filled with challenges and adversity. A powerful leader will help our
team overcome obstacles and make us as strong as possible.
We believe that there are strong candidates out there, despite the lack
of what one might call 'big names.'Â Remember, when they started
their coaching careers, Phil Jackson, Pat Riley and Gregg Popovich were
relative unknowns. There are a lot of really good people in the
basketball world who are capable of being great head coaches, and together
with my staff, I'm going to find the right person to be the next Suns'
coach.
Thanks, as always, for your tremendous support. Even though it's only
May, I can't wait for next season to start!Â
Sincerely,

Steve Kerr

Robert Horry?
:D

Kerr's reportingly courting Mario Elie, so head coach Horry is the next logical step.

Then Kerr would throw himself into Majerle's grill and Sarver could appoint Paxson as GM.

Sarver stated on KTAR this afternoon that he would not be promoting from within the organization so Vinny Del Negro is out.

And Kerr promptly contradicted him saying this morning "we're not ruling out anybody."

LoL, I guess that's a message to Sarver - don't mettle in my job as GM!

This is comical. We our watching a complete front office debacle. Kerr gets on KTAR yesterday morning and pronounces that past Suns players and office personnel will be considered for the position. Then Sarver gets on in the afternoon and says we will not be considering current front office staff or players.

What a joke. It is becoming more evident by the day that the brain trust of Kerr/Sarver have no idea what the hell they're doing. This is criminal mismanagement.
