Jim Miller is headed to Florida to take a physical and is expected to be made an offer from the Bucs. The Bears are standing still with their offer to Stewart and think he needs them more than they need him. It is believed they have offered something just under $3 mil a year and very close to the Cards offer. Stewart still thinks he can get Plummer money which the Bears and Cards are apparently not going to offer. The NFL has put a stop to the scheduled visit by Griese to the Bears. It is against the rules. Three teams need a starting QB: AZ,Bears,and Baltimore so we have at least three QB FA so we will end up with one. Bears seem to not care who it is as they view all the FA QB's as a stopgap. They still have Chandler and a backup. From these comments maybe the Bears will draft a QB with #1 but I still see them taking Suggs if he is there (probably not there). I think the Bears or AZ will be satisified with Blake and both will make an offer if Stewart continues to wait. I think the longer Stewart waits the less his value so he better jump at the Bears or Cards within the next two or three days as the Bears I do not think will up their offer. The Cards might but not much more than $3 mil. Griese is sort of stuck until June and teams really need to get a QB on board before June. He will be signed but I am not sure the Cards or Baltimore will wait. The Bears appear ready and willing to wait.
