I was watching Mike & Mike & a segment came up discussing the 2-0 teams. They were trying to determine the strongest 2-0 teams & the biggest surprises. The Cardinals essentially didn't make either list. The surprises were Tennessee (a playoff team last year!!!) & Buffalo. The strongest teams they identified were Pittsburgh, Denver, New England, NYG, Green Bay. They could only say that the Cardinals have looked impressive, but have played two bad teams. Uhh Guys - WE made them look bad. We'll have to wait and see what they'll say next week when we put a hurting on the Skins. I'll be there & I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit I was a little dissappointed in the coverage or lack thereof, but then I reminded myself that yes it was in fact the 9ers and fins. I also forgot the mantra last week was that I hope they keep sleeping on the Cards.

The last time I checked, the Niners are NOT 0-2. They went up to Seattle & came away with a nice win, regardless of the injury status with the Seahags. The Dolphins gave the Jets all they could handle in week 1, so I really don't think they are as bad as we made them look yesterday. Next week will be more telling.

i was more upset with the highlight coverage by NFL network... where one of the guys said something like "The NFL requires we show highlights of every game", then more or less took the highlights not-at-all seriously. If it had been Favre or Cassel having a perfect QB rating they would have talked it up.

I think it was Sanders...but to me, he was completely dissing the 'phins. They were so bad, there weren't any highlights to show. But, you are right, they didn't give us any love either

We're not going to get any respect until we prove to everyone that we are now a winning team. It's going to be a hard slog before we deserve any respect from outsiders.

exactly.....to be honest with ya, I'd love it if the Cards gave the media the cold shoulder treatment when they all of a sudden become the cinderella story.

winning the big one cures all ills i'm living for that year and praying its this year it probably will be since this is the first time in like six years i couldnt afford sunday ticket
so yesterday i had to download sopcast and tv ants and god knows what else got to run some antivirus programs this morning to see what attached itself to these programs but even after all that whoever was in charge of the cards broadcast on tv ants switched to a baseball game just before halftime and i had to listen to the second half from a feed from the miami announcers no less

but its gonna be a struggle like that every week to see the game or go to the pub:(
but 2 and 0 feels mighty good right now:D

How are Boldin and Warner not worthy of mention?

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?page=studs08/week2

STUDS

Darren McFadden

After a modest debut performance (nine carries, 46 yards), McFadden flashed his true potential in Week 2. The talented rookie rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown, powering Oakland to a 23-8 win over Kansas City.

Aaron Rodgers

Replacing a legend can be difficult. So far, Rodgers is making it look easy. Rodgers, the highly scrutinized successor to Brett Favre, threw three touchdown passes in the first four drives against the Lions, sparking Green Bay to a 48-25 victory. Rodgers finished with 328 yards passing and did not throw an interception.

Charles Woodson

With the Packers clinging to a 27-25 lead over the Lions, Woodson helped Green Bay pull away for an easy victory. The veteran cornerback intercepted Lions QB Jon Kitna twice in the final six minutes. The first INT set up a Brandon Jackson TD run; Woodson returned the second pick 41 yards for a score.

Brandon Marshall

Marshall didn't play in Week 1 (suspension). Sunday, he reminded everyone why he's considered one of most promising young wideouts in the league. Marshall caught a Broncos-record 18 passes for 166 yards and a TD in Denver's thrilling 39-38 victory over San Diego .

Anthony Gonzalez

The Colts' offense started to hit its stride in Week 2, and Gonzalez was a key contributor. The second-year wideout had a career-high nine catches for 137 yards in the Colts' 18-15 victory over the Vikings.

Adrian Peterson

The Vikings are 0-2, but Peterson certainly isn't the problem. After rushing for 103 yards in the season opener, Peterson was even more impressive against the Colts, rushing for 160 yards on 29 carries. It was Peterson's eighth career 100-yard rushing game, already the fourth-best in Vikings history.

The Giants' defense

Despite the absences of Osi Umenyiora (injured reserve) and Michael Strahan (retired), the Giants' pass rush appears to be just as lethal as it was a year ago. The Giants sacked Rams QB Marc Bulger six times in a 41-13 win. Fred Robbins and Justin Tuck, who also had a 41-yard interception return for a TD, led the charge with two sacks apiece.

DUDS

Jon Kitna

Kitna rallied the Lions to a 25-24 lead over the Packers. Then he unraveled. Kitna threw three interceptions -- two of which were returned for TDs -- in the final six minutes, allowing the Packers to win comfortably 48-25.

Larry Johnson

On what was a tough day for the Chiefs' offense, Johnson rushed for just 22 yards on 12 carries in a 23-8 loss to the Raiders. The Chiefs were held to 190 total yards and were forced to use third-string QB Tyler Thigpen after Damon Huard left with an injury. (Chiefs No. 1 QB Brodie Croyle was injured in Week 1.)

Matt Ryan

Ryan enjoyed a victorious debut in Week 1. The rookie QB's encore was a much different story. Ryan was only 13-of-33 for 158 yards and was intercepted twice in Atlanta's 24-9 loss to Tampa Bay. He failed to complete his first nine passes.

The Bengals' offense

Bengals QB Carson Palmer and Co. struggled mightily for the second straight week, mustering only one score in a 24-7 loss to the Titans. Palmer was held to 134 yards passing and was intercepted twice. Chad Ocho Cinco (four catches, 37 yards) hasn't done anything worthy of a headline since his well-documented name change.

The Dolphins' running game

The Dolphins are counting on Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams to provide them with a formidable 1-2 punch at running back. Sunday, the duo was far from dynamic. Brown and Williams combined for just 53 rushing yards in Miami's 31-10 loss to the Cardinals.

I'm going to send an email to ESPN telling them how disgusted I am. What should I say in my email?

They are giving more love to the rookie from Denver Eddie Royal than they are to Q or Fitz

I do not expect us to beat the Skins. Show me.

We went 2-6 on the road last year, 6-2 at home. Say we improve to 7-1 at home and improve to 3-5 on the road. That's 10 wins.

Expecting 3 consecutive road wins, by a team with a bad road history, is bold. Yes, it could happen. Then, expecting to win both of our next two road games is an even bigger stretch of credulity.

If we go 1-1 on this road trip, I'll be thrilled. The Jets game is more winnable than the Skins' one, I think.

Pundits and commentators have been saying this could be the year for the Cardinals for a few years now. Repeated let downs have them a little gun shy at jumping on the bandwagon especially after wins against what are considered weak teams.

They are going to have to beat the Cowboys and have a above .500 at the midway point to get any buzz going in the national media.

Recent history has me on the same page as Skkorp. When it come to road games, show me something.

I think the Cardinals are significantly better as a team than last season when they faced the Redskins, and nearly beat them.

Tell me Skkorp, do you believe the Redskins improved as much overall from last year to this as the Cardinals have? Because I don't think so.

Two of the Four reporters on "Around the Horn" had the Cardinals as the surprise 2 - 0 team in the NFL. Thats pretty good. I think a lot of analysts have been burned by the promise of the Cardinals before. They're gun shy to jump on the bandwagon, and I don't blame them. At 2-0, we'll be in the spotlight all year because the NFC West is up for grabs and we have the lead. We need a win over a good team to put us over the top, media wise.

We were very close to taking those clowns last year Skkorp. I'm leary of us on the road too, and IMO the East is just not a good look for us this year, but I think we can steal this one man.

No. We are the better team but not by much, until proven otherwise and they play at home when we must travel west to east to play a morning game.

Remember, a 3-5 road record would probably be good enough to get us 9 or 10 wins. Few teams do better than 4-4 on the road, even good teams.

I think the same problems we had last year will bite us in the butt again this year.

Stupid penalties will help the Redskins keep drives alive and stall Cardinals drives.

The Cards will stuggle to run the ball.

The Cards will struggle to stop the run.

Rackers has been too inconsistant and in a close game like this one it will hurt us.

I think we are the better team. If we play smart football we will win. I just beleive that we are still committing too many penalties and that will be our demise this game.
