We haven't made it to the playoffs in a decade......last year we made it to .500 for the first time in years......this year we've already clinched the playoffs. Clearly we're not winning the Super Bowl, but even 1 and done or a road loss 2nd round, and I'm pretty happy.

No?

It's not that I'm unhappy. I'm just dissappointed in the way we played today. Maybe we can put away the hats and t-shirts for a while and get back to business. I have a feeling practice this week will be a bit more intense.

LOTS of REASONS to be HAPPY!!!

TODAY, obviously was not one of them. BUT in year #2 of the Whiz-Grimm era we're Division Champs. THAT is a BIG DEAL! Honestly, I think MOST of us on here thought that we were a 10-6/ 9-7 team. We're clearly on our way up. As for winning the "weak" West? Like I could care. I'd MUCH rather be in the play-offs THAN watching it. GO CARDS! :D

Okay, please, STOP. How many other people around here can't stand it when somebody posts how happy they are on a day we get trounced? It's like that jerk who stops you on a Monday morning after a terrible weekend who fake pouts and says, 'Someone's got a case of the Mondays!' I mean, seriously, after a loss like this, if a fellow Cards fan walked up to me in my neighborhood today, with a huge smile talking about how happy I should be, I'd probably sock him in the eye. No, I'm not saying you're telling other people they have to be happy, and no, I'm not saying I'd ever punch anyone from this board. I'm just saying that it's pretty damn annoying when this crap gets thrown up here after a humiliating defeat. Ya know, we've had this division sewn up for about the last 5 weeks. If you haven't already gotten your high off of getting to the playoffs, and aren't looking forward by now, then my goodness, how easily appeased you are.

A win in Foxborough next weekend and we'll be back to being superbowl contenders =)

We're all upset at today's pathetic showing but it might work as a blessing in disguise. There's nothing like a kick in the @#$% for motivation.

Oh my good God, can we STOP!!! This travesty is NOT a blessing in disguise; that's an incredibly blind thought with no basis in reason. And winning in Foxboro? Oh, you weren't trying to be funny...YOU'RE SERIOUS? Ahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Hey, STOUT!

I hear ya'! We ALL hate to lose! Especially BADLY like today. That being said we all handle it differently. I could be VERY ANGRY about it but it won't gain me anything. NOTHING! 'cept ULCERS! The way I deal with a loss is to forget it quickly and move on. Again, we all deal with this in our own way. I don't see a right or wrong way. We lost! It sucked! Move on! BUT last week was sweet. Maybe next week will be sweet. Maybe NOT! The season continues... But again, I hear ya'. ...And I'm GLAD you're on our side! GO CARDS!

You're an incredibly blind thought with no basis in reason. A week ago everything was candy and roses and this weekend the entire world is coming to an end. There's nothing like over reacting at both ends of the scale.

A week ago we actually clinched the NFC West, and so some celebration was pretty much mandatory. Still, most people weren't going gaga saying we'd make the SB or any such nonsense. The most I said is that IF every chip fell in our favor we might be able to make a run. But when our team totally and completely flips the fans the bird with a crap effort like this, it's silly to me to find happiness in that.

Co-sign.

Was Stout supposed to be negative after we clinched last week? We got our asses handed to us and a big reason was because we drafted a human turnstile instead of the RB who put up 165 on us.

I'm happy we are slowly improving overall, and are in the playoffs.

That's about it. They came out and laid an egg in the biggest game of the year, at home no less, in front of a stadium half full of opposing fans. The other team's coach called it a home game. We lost by a ton. Our QB play was terrible. We couldn't run or stop the run and a no-name QB threw like an MVP against us. That's Deja Vu back to SDS days. There's no happiness to be found there.

Unless we continue this for the next three weeks, I'm going to be pretty happy. We have a team, that if we come out flat, and fall behind early, especially against a good team, we are probably going to get slaughtered. When we come out crisp and execute on offense, we are almost unstoppable and can play with anyone. We benefited from having a weak division but we've also completed dominated the division and could very possibly sweep it. In years past when our division sucked we sucked far too deeply to take what was there for the taking. Not this year. There are many teams in the NFL this year, that are very talented, have very respectable records, that will miss the playoffs. Given our luck, we got an incredible break that we aren't one of these teams that worked its way to .500 or better that will sit home this year.

Anyway, we have an exciting team that has earned a home playoff game. We can play with anyone. Anything can happen. I expect these guys to pull it together, show up in New England, and give them a hell of game and possible win, roll over Seattle to sweep the division and then knock someone out of the playoffs and from there, who knows?

Anyone that spends hours every Sunday watching this team, with the certainty that we will fail, you've got to ask yourself, what are you doing? Are you just addicted to martyrdom and failure? Its normal to over the edge when your team gets absolutely slaughtered like yesterday. But if you seriously have absolute certainty, we have no chance but failure, then you owe it to yourself to at least, not watch the game, or become a fan of the other team or something. If you are just here because you are addicted to failure, I recommend something else.

I will be happy if they don't get hammered in their first playoff game at home. This team needs to wake up and realize they can't afford to make mistakes against good teams, or they get killed.

Not happy!

That was a shameful performance in every sense of the word and there is no way to sugar-coat it. This is a Viking team that barely beat the Detriot Lions a week ago. Even considering the upgrade from Ferrotte to Jackson, it was a pitiful performance by the Cardinals on Sunday. It's a sad commentary when the Lions (even coming off 10 days rest) put up a better effort than the playoff-bound Cardinals.

Yeah, I'm happy about the first-half of the season, but lately it hasn't been pretty. We thought we played well against the Giants, but the shine is off that as well, when you consider how they've played and lost the past two weeks.

This will be a real test for Whisenhunt and his coaching staff. They are going against one of the best in the business this week, so they better pull something out of the hat because this team is headed south in a hurry IMO.

I am also bummed that our OL has not improved a lick since last year.

Until this game, I refused to believe Levi was a bust.

Now I want to cry.

Yeah its kind of hard to carry that torch with what happened yesterday.

Did everyone else hear how after the game Levi Brown was trying to hand his gloves off and slipped and fell on his back? LOL - If that doesn't say everything I don't know what does.

It's not just AP that makes it so difficult for Brown to be such an apparent bust. Its seeing guys like Clady, Thomas, and Long get drafted and have such an immediate impact.

Brown's ass better be here all off season working to get better on his technique and strength. Right now that draft (along with Branch) looks like a Mac draft except for Breaston. I understand what Wisenhunt was trying to do (send a message and build through the lines) but I hope we learned from that.

Nothing to be happy about from yesterday. Is Grimm earning that 1M yet?

Good point! It really does seem like the entire O-line is regressing in pass protection. Earlier in the year, they were getting the job done. Now, not so much.

We could end up with a losing record this year. If we lose the next two and the first playoff game. Removes some of the elation of making the playoffs.
