Unless we continue this for the next three weeks, I'm going to be pretty happy. We have a team, that if we come out flat, and fall behind early, especially against a good team, we are probably going to get slaughtered. When we come out crisp and execute on offense, we are almost unstoppable and can play with anyone. We benefited from having a weak division but we've also completed dominated the division and could very possibly sweep it. In years past when our division sucked we sucked far too deeply to take what was there for the taking. Not this year. There are many teams in the NFL this year, that are very talented, have very respectable records, that will miss the playoffs. Given our luck, we got an incredible break that we aren't one of these teams that worked its way to .500 or better that will sit home this year.
Anyway, we have an exciting team that has earned a home playoff game. We can play with anyone. Anything can happen. I expect these guys to pull it together, show up in New England, and give them a hell of game and possible win, roll over Seattle to sweep the division and then knock someone out of the playoffs and from there, who knows?
Anyone that spends hours every Sunday watching this team, with the certainty that we will fail, you've got to ask yourself, what are you doing? Are you just addicted to martyrdom and failure? Its normal to over the edge when your team gets absolutely slaughtered like yesterday. But if you seriously have absolute certainty, we have no chance but failure, then you owe it to yourself to at least, not watch the game, or become a fan of the other team or something. If you are just here because you are addicted to failure, I recommend something else.
