I just got this from the library. I still have time to continue my quest down the IMDB top 250 while I wait for my Lost DVDs from Blockbuster. This one is currently #83 on IMDB’s top 250.

Amazon:

I just watched it. Classic Hitchcock, they don’t call him “Master of Suspense” for nothing. Most of the scenes of Bruno stalking Guy were very spooky. I really enjoyed this one up until the ending.

The ending sequence seemed ridiculous. First, the cop fires a gun into a crowd of people. Then they just stand there and do nothing while the old man tries to climb under the merry-go-round. I’m not an expert on merry-go-rounds, but why the heck did it have the ability to go so fast? Then when Bruno is trapped nobody tries to help him get out, they just stand there arguing about who is telling the truth. Crazy ending.
