He looks just like high flying Eddie Johnson and Jalen Rose in that #8 jersey.

Nice. That made me laugh. I was expecting another "praise Straw" article or something.

Now I'm going to pay attention to him every time he goes to the hoop in a game.

These rookie's may turnout to be busts. But it sure is refreshing to have some young defenders with potential on the bench.

DJ may not play much, but I am not worried about him being a bust. From all indications he's already a very very good defender with the potential of become one of the elite defenders in the league.

That kind of guy is almost certain to have a career. Whether he becomes more than a defensive specialist is uncertain, but great defenders don't "go cold".

I think Strawberry and Tucker are two two very nice additions. IMO it would be to the Suns advantage if Strawberry develops first (because he can play some PG) but I can see Tucker developing rapidly as well if he gets playing time. Both players seem to show some nice composure for rookies.

Just got the stats. DJ went 6 of 9 from the field including 2 of 4 for three, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.

That's including the game winning 3! It's clear that Strawberry is showing the most promising of the 2 rookies we drafted, despite being the second to last pick in the draft.

A picture of the Sun's bench after the last shot that won the game shows how the team feels about him.

I was very impressed with Tucker's ability to score down low. Grranted, he was playing against 2nd team talent - but we haven't had a mid-range player with that skill set in the last few years... since Coach D hates that style of play. Unless Tucker learns to hit threes, he is not going to sniff the court.

The three pointer by DJ at the end was great. I also like how Banks got him the shot.
