Does it count if a Niner fan once approached me at Arbys (I was wearing my Cardinals cap) criticizing the Cardinals.
Went to the Vet solo on opening day one year because there was threat of the game being blacked out. I sure wasn't gonna miss opening day. And Jake saved the day (well, actually it was our kicker). Also wore my jersey up in the 700 level during the game where Zach Walz broke his leg.

Flew from Jersey to SDS twice to see the Cards. Once was against New England. Jake wasn't playing cause he had broken his finger when it got stuck in someone else's helmet. Anyway, after the game, I snuck into the players area. I obviously didn't belong, but they let me stay. Andre Wadsworth was super cool.

Had a beer with Vince Tobin in the parking lot later that same day.

Wore my Pat Tillman jersey twice at the old Cowboys stadium.

You have some quality credibility but so do the others.

I like the beer with Vince Tobin.

You beat me, then. Wow, I had beer thrown at me, as well as offers of violence and various cuss words--in a big loss. I can't imagine what it was like when the Cards WON!

I remember watching that game at a bar, I think. Was that the one where we stopped them on a 4th and 1 near the end, and Jake had a big throw to Frank Sanders?
That's the one!

Not sure if this counts but back in 2012 I was lying in a hospital bed recovering from quadruple heart bypass. My pastor was visiting me and we were praying. Only thing is the Patriots/Cards game was on TV right behind him. I kept sneaking peeks at the game while we were praying. It was the game where their kicker missed at the very end and...WE WON! :)

I think we were at the same game twice! I believe the game Walz broke his leg was the day I was in the upper deck at the Vet. I met you at the New England game at SDS. That's cool that you got to hang with the players. I got recruited to help hold up the giant American flag on the field. Wild stuff!

I work in a major Washington State Correctional facility loaded with seahawk fans (inmates). I proudly wear my Cardinals lanyard and make it known in a cards fan!

What's the same division got to do with it? Do you have a calvin peeing on a dallas star? They have not been in our division for 20 years...so cry your own river. I've also been to 24 different stadiums wearing my gear, but I've never had anyone threaten me.

Now that is the kind of response which gives you street cred... dig :)

I would think the pastor was thrilled to hear you shout out, "Thank you Jesus!!" :D

I rode back to Jersey on a jet-liner from my only road trip to AZ to see the Cards beat Dallas (aka Team Felon) in OT - wearing game-attire; that included Cardinal hoody, sweaty cargo shorts, a Buddy Ryan Cardinal straw plantation hat and the pungent aroma of stale beer.

I collapsed into my seat and quickly fell asleep only to be awakened at 6 am at our layover in Detroit by a bunch of spiffy automobile industry execs en route to visiting their NYC ad agencies. (To them, I must have looked like a homeless Cardinal fanatic).

Epic trip - wouldn't trade it for anything.

I've told this story before (probably more than once), but I was a member of the last live band the Cowboys employed at the old Texas Stadium. 1988 - the last year Tom Landry coached the 'Boys.

We played in the stands (horns and rhythm section), and during the Cardinals game (first season in Phoenix as well) it became a blowout and the Cards scored in the end zone right where we were. Everyone in the band knew I was a diehard Cardinals fan, but cheering for another team during a game was grounds for immediate dismissal. As soon as the player scored (I think it was a pick-6), I jumped up, outstretched my arms and screamed. The Cards player responded back, holding the ball up to me. Inexplicably the director had his back turned; he never saw it happen.

Of course, that play made it on SportsCenter - luckily for me, you couldn't tell on TV who he was holding the ball up to. Kept my job.

EDIT: Just looked up that game - was only a 16-10 Cardinals win. Thought it was a blowout, but then again, it was a long time ago.
