I noticed that sometimes I am automatically subscribed to threads. I haven't really noticed a pattern except it is on threads that have a lot of posts on them after I have posted.

Is there a way to turn this off :|

User CP -> Edit options and select "Default thread subscription mode"

Do you manually select "Subscribe to thread"? If so, you need to turn it off for each thread.

Edit - go to your User CP, click on subscribed theads, click on the global checkbox at the top to select all.

Then at the bottom there is a dropdown where you can select "delete subscriptions".

If you ever ask for an email reply if there is a new post then you are subscribed to it...

What does subscribing to a thread mean? Do you get EM notification everytime there's a new post?

That would be tedious.

Yes and Yes.

You can subscribe to an individual thread by clicking on thread tools dropdown and click on "subscribe". You can also set your user cp to automatically subscribe.

I don't do this - it can be annoying.

Please let me know when this happens again so I can spam the thread. Thank you.

Is there any way to do something like a personalized sticky?

Like, if there's a certain thread that I want to keep at the top of a board, could I sticky it just for myself?

That would be pretty cool.
