1) isn't next years Super Bowl in Indy? Miserable.

I think Indy is one of the most fun cities to visit. I've always had a good time there. Chicago is still the best though.

In February? Indy?
I went in December 2 years ago to watch OSU/ND B-ball game. It was cold and snowy but we still went out and had fun. Ike and Jonsey's is a fun bar. There's a bunch of good bars and restaurants.

You don't get out much, do you?? :D:D:D
hell, anything is fun compared to Columbus, Ohio. There's very little downtown activity here. You have the arena district and that's about it.

Columbus rocks! We jumped off of The Dead tour to hit a "HIGH TIMES" festival in Buckeye Lake(?). We ended up staying and partying for like 2 straight weeks on the campus in Columbus. Lots of ladies. :)

Buckeye Lake is a good time in the summer. The campus area has alot going on but downtown Columbus is dead. You're right, there are plenty of nice looking women around town.

Okay, let's take a look at that. You probably paid AT LEAST 2-grand for that ticket. Plus the airlines jacked up ticket prices right after the championship games, so getting into town was about 1,200. Hotel for 3 days? Probably around 1,000 MINIMUM, as they also jacked their prices up for the SB. Throw in 500 in expenses while you're in town, plus about 1, 000 in parking. That's a grand total of about 5, 700 bucks. I got these numbers from a Steelers fan that was going to the game, btw.

Face value of the tickets is about 800 bucks. They paid triple that, so that's 2,400. Now, do you like that combination, figuring you would have just missed your own team in the SB? I wouldn't.

heh, oh yeah, was thinking face value paid, not markups.

Especially when you consider that these people probably spent more then triple face value
Why should the NFL care about this? If they bought the tickets from someone who paid face value and who wanted more, that's not the NFL's problem.

I hope the NFL steps up and takes care of everyone that got screwed in this thing. Sportsline had a piece about some gal that spent 21 grand to take her cancer survivor brother to the Superbowl and the whole thing turned out like a horror movie. The NFL needs to step up and do the right thing.

To me the NFL is going to have to go back to a warm weather city rotation for the superbowl. Weather can just create too much havoc for something as important as this game. Its a lifetime dream for a lot of people to attend a superbowl. The NFL shouldn't risk folks being stranded on a snowed over freeway missing the whole game.

Just think if it had been you, and the Cards in the Super Bowl...

Oh, I get it. That's why I said "as a football fan, I totally understand." It sucks BIG TIME and it's totally unfair; however, I don't think it's sue-worthy.

Then again, I heard on the way into work today that they waited until the last minute to try and put those additional seats up. (I am guessing part of that had to do with the weather.) The NFL never came up with a contingency plan in case the seating area didn't get done in time. if those things are true and additional information comes out about them NOT doing their best to get the situation solved, then, yeah, my opinion will likely waiver a bit.
